DHS fears takeover of Taliban could 'inspire' insurgency by US rebels and white supremacists, CNN claims
When President Joe Biden declares that the US withdrawal from Afghanistan is over and the war is over, his government shifts its focus to enemies at home, namely “white supremacists” and “extremists” who are allegedly cheering on the Taliban.
“White supremacist and anti-government extremists have expressed admiration for what the Taliban achieved, a worrying development for US officials who have welcomed the threat of violent domestic extremism," CNN reported wednesday Afternoon.

However, only one official is mentioned by name - John Cohen from the Office of Intelligence and Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security. His concern came from a law enforcement conference call last Friday, which CNN says it got when Cohen said these groups were “Frames the Taliban’s activities as a success."
Another source of history is the SITE Intelligence Group, an NGO run by professionals “Extremist tracker” Rita Katz. Their August 26th weekly bulletin contains a single quote from an anonymous person on a Telegram channel praising “Farmers and minimally educated men” who fought for “Take back their nation from globohomo."
“If white men in the West had the same courage as the Taliban, we would not be ruled by Jews at the moment," the quote goes on to say.

Joanna Mendelson, associate director of the Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism, also makes a sharp point in CNN history. While the ADL has not seen any “Observed credible threats or mobilization of extremist online activity," they are “affected” on current online rhetoric.
“The fact that the Taliban could claim victory over such a world power at the end of the day is something that white supremacists take note of." Mendelson told CNN.
The story also quotes two unnamed federal officials, one from law enforcement and another from DHS, speculating that this “Hateful rhetoric” could lead to violence against Afghan refugees currently being flown to the United States for resettlement following the takeover of the Taliban.
The US-backed Afghan government collided virtually overnight, handing over its Pentagon-funded military to the Taliban without a fight in mid-August. This led to a hectic confusion of tens of thousands of people fleeing Kabul via the airport, controlled by US troops.
Biden himself has praised the Kabul air as one “Extraordinary success” and argued to end the 20-year war was the right thing to do. Meanwhile, the Taliban have paraded their described American hardware and weons around Kabul, Kandahar and other Afghan cities.
In the midst of the retreat, some critics of the US establishment have warned that the embarrassed White House may turn inward to avenge its humiliation.
The Biden administration has argued for it “White superiority” and “Domestic extremism” is the biggest threat to the US government since the January 6 uprising in the US Citol. They have persistently called the event one “Rebellion” against the United States, though no one has been charged with such a crime, and the FBI recently admitted it was not an organized coup attempt.
